|amount of produced Zombie films|

When approaching to the wide field of different kinds of Zombies we have to consider their history. Because once when Z-Day is reached we will face a wide screen of fully developed subspacies. The first film containig Zombies was White Zombie 1932. Form then to today we see a dramatic progress in production rate as seen in the graph.
This is in my opinion not only a significant sign for an ongoing evolution and an increasing amount of Zombies out there, it shows how soon the Z-Day may come. As you see in the last years the growth was greater than exponential. This may have several reasons. Surely the amount of existing Zombie films increases the production rate, what explains the nearly exponential growth in the years 1960 to 1990. Then you see a little break, but lately the growth gets extreme. This may come from the Zombie acolyts bringing them into the pop culture. In fact we see the need to prepare for the day when they walk among us. The data is taken from www.wikipedia.de date 04.06.2011. The plotting was done with gnuplot, which is free available under the gpl, so you are free to use the graph for own purposes. I am planning to investigate the zombie diversity in this time scale, but the collection of data may take some time, so hang on.
